Students of Chandigarh Group of Colleges, Jhanjeri who are to pass out in July 2018, have been placed in leading companies of India at hefty pay packages of upto Rs. 9.0 lakh p.a. More than 175 students including 105 of engineering, 53 of MBA and others belonging to the courses of B.Sc. Agriculture, B.Sc. Fashion Technology, BBA, B.Com. & BCA are having job offers with them. Some of them are having more than one offers in hand. Bikram Pratap Singh Sohi of CSE Branch, has four offers from Mu Sigma, ITC infotect, Capgemini & Wipro while each of Shubham & Tarun Sinha has offers from three leading companies, at least 9 other students have job offers from two different companies. Ashima Anand of CSE bagged the highest pay package of Rs. 8.85 lakh p.a. offered by VM Ware Software India Pvt. Ltd.Placement Department of CGC is having its Head Office at Delhi. With the consistent efforts of this department a large number of companies visited the campus of CGC for carrying out placement drives throughout the year. As a policy of CGC, all eligible students of Jhanjeri, Landran & CU jointly took part in these drives. The Engineering students of CGC Jhanjeri campus have been placed in 34 leading companies including VM ware, L&T Infotech, Wipro, Capgemini, ITC infotech, Mindtree, Newgen, Mu sigma, NIIT Technologies and others. Some of the prominent companies offering jobs to MBA students include Standard Chartered Bank, Rupee Maker, Think & Learn, V-Parmar, India bulls, Tommy Hilfiger, Just dial, Indusind, Jaro Education, Vishal Mega Mart, Aspiring Minds, India Mart & others. Pallavi proved luckiest by getting selected in three companies. On the other hand Simran Kaur bagged the highest pay package of Rs. 9 lakh p.a. from Think & Learn. Others having offers of more than Rs.5 lakh p.a. include Priyanka Rathore in (V Parmar, 7.2 LPA) Aayush Tayal, Anuja Srivastava both in (Jaro Education 6.62LPA), Nida Iqbal, Kunjum Bharti, Manisha all in (Rooman Technologies 6.0 LPA). Most of the students of BBA, BCA & B.Com are not interested in job as they want to go for post graduate studies..However, the students of these courses who are interested in jobs have been placed in Tech Mahindra, Acelerar Technologies, Lifecell, Sourcing Valley etc. Even the students of first batch of B.Sc. (Agriculture) & B.Sc. (Fashion Technology) going to pass out in July 2018 have been placed in Cargill India & Tommy Hilfiger at pay packages of more than Rs.2.5 lakh p.a..Speaking about the success of Jhanjeri students, Rashpal Singh Dhaliwal, President CGC said that placements are extremely close to the heart of the management of CGC. We invite a large number of companies to our campus every year, so much so that many times not one but 2 to 4 placement drives are conducted on a day simultaneously.
