BJP leader Pradeep Sangwan joins Congress

Haryana Congress today received a shot in the arm, when hundreds of BJP office bearers led by estranged BJP leader Pradeep Sangwan submitted their mass resignations from BJP and announced to join Congress in presence of Chief Minister Mr Bhupinder Singh Hooda at Gohana today morning. Pradeep is son of noted Sonipat leader & three time MP Kishan Singh Sangwan. Sonipat BJP District Youth, Women, Scheduled Caste & farmer Cells presidents, Presidents of 13 Mandal of Sonipat Parliament with 51 executive members of each Mandals,  State Vice President of BJP also left BJP in the mass resignation tendered today in protest against the BJP ticket from Sonipat to Ramesh Kaushik. They all announced to join the Congress party.   

The list of BJP leaders, who announced to quit BJP included State Vice President of Kissan Morcha Master Bijender Singh Badauli, District Sonipat Vice President Baljore Singh Malik, District Sonipat Membership Chief Master Raghubir Singh, District Sonipat Women Wing President Mrs Bharpai Chahal, District Sonipat Kissan Morcha President Azad Singh Malik, District Sonipat Youth President Jaidev Singh, District SC Cell President Ramniwas Kharkhauda. 

13 Mandal Units of Sonipat Parliamentary area of BJP and their presidents also announced to join Congress. These included Ramdhan Rindhana of Kathura Mandal, Balbir Singh of Mundlana Mandal, Devender Sevli of Jakhauli Mandal, Rambali of Bhainswal Mandal, Rajbir Rohilla of Pillukhera Mandal, Ranbir Dahiya of Rohat Mandal, Subhas Prajapat of Murthal Mandal, Satya Narain Sharma of Gohana Mandal, Ramphal of Baraha Mandal(Jind), Krishan Kumar of Jind Rural Mandal, Dinesh Vyas of Jind Urban Mandal, Sandeep Gosain of Jyanti Mandal(Jind), Ram Diya of Kharkhauda Mandal and their complete units. 

District Sonipat Youth BJP Secretary General Rakesh Hooda, former Sonipat District Secretary Ramphal Dodwa, District Executive Members Rakesh Antil & Anil Antil, State BJP Kissan Morcha member Samunder Singh, media incharge of youth wing Sumit Kakkar, media incharge of BJP Kharkhauda Yashpal Dahiya, President of Khanpur Mandal Kissan Morcha Shamsher Singh Bhaadi, Secretary General of Jyanti Mandal Aman Sharma and hundreds of other BJP workers also left BJP and joined Cong on this occasion.

Addressing the charged workers and office bearers, Pradeep Sangwan said that BJP national president Rajnath Singh, Leader of opposition Sushma Swaraj, former BJP president Venkiah Naidu had publicly announced that Pradeep Sangwan would fulfil the dreams of his father & three time Sonipat MP Kishan Singh Sangwan, who had served the BJP when it was nowhere in the scene. He accused the BJP leadership of ditching the thousands of BJP workers. He said the ‘Chal, Charitra aur Chehra’ of BJP has been exposed. He said that the workers joining Cong would work shoulder to shoulder for Cong candidate Jagbir Singh Malik and he would win with bigger margin than the Rohtak Parliament. He also assured all out support on behalf of his team.

Haryana Chief Minister Mr Bhupinder Singh Hooda welcomed the BJP office bearers and also assured due regard and position to all the new entrants including Pradeep Sangwan in the Congress party. He said that the Lok Sabha election results in Haryana will indicate who would win in the next Vidhan Sabha election in October. He said that INLD is a finished force and has lost all public support. Attacking BJP, Mr Hooda said that BJP workers are openly saying that BJP has sold its tickets and the party. The Party, which sells its party ticket, what benefits the people may expect from it, he asked the enthusiastic party workers. He also targeted opposition for double speak on the development. He categorically said that Cong has brought development in the entire state but the opposition was falsely saying that Hooda Government has only developed Rohtak & Sonipat. 

Hooda also targeted INLD for its double standards of describing Cong & BJP as two sides of a coin on one side and extending unconditional support to BJP Prime Ministerial candidate Narender Modi in the same breath. “Agar BJP Aur Congress, Aik Hi Sikke Ke Do Pehlu Hain, To Dohari Baat Kyon Karte Ho, Modi Ko Samarthan Kyon Dene Ki Baat Karte Ho”, he added amidst applause from the People.Cong candidate & Gohana MLA Jagbir Singh Malik said that former Chief Minister Om Parkash Chautala wanted to use him against the Sangwan family but he declined. MLA Shri Krishan Hooda, District Sonipat Congress President Pradeep Gautam, Cong leader Prof Virender Singh were also present on the occasion.
