DLSA holds legal awareness camp

A legal awareness camp and law fair was organized today at Panchyat Ghar Chenani by District Legal Services Authority in collaboration with J&K SLSA under the patronage of Chief Justice J&K High Court (Patron-in-Chief J&K SLSA) Justice Badar Durrez Ahmed and guidance of Executive Chairman J&K SLSA, Justice Ramalingam Sudhakar.The legal awareness camp was organized under the supervision of Chairman DLSA Principal District and Sessions Judge, K.S Parihar and Member Secretary J&K SLSA, R.N Wattal.The camp was organised on the concept envisaged under the new ‘Legal Services Camp Module’ guidelines of NALSA which is an outreach initiative for legal awareness and empowerment as per the vision of the Executive Chairman NALSA, Justice Ranjan Gogoi, Judge Supreme Court of India.The programme was attended by Secretary DLSA Anjana Rajput, Chairman TLSC, Sumati Sharma and District Mobile Magistrate Traffic Ajay Gupta.

The government departments including Labour, Social Welfare and Revenue besides various other organizations installed their stalls displaying the schemes and programmes undertaken by them for the welfare of the people.On the occasion, people were updated with the schemes and advised to avail benefits of the same.Chairman DLSA K.S Parihar and MS J&K SLSA,  RN Wattal while speaking on the occasion highlighted the schemes and initiatives undertaken as per the new NALSA module for conduct of camps under the leadership of Executive Chairman NALSA, Justice Ranjan Gogoi, Judge, Supreme Court of India. They also emphasised for reaching out to the marginalized sections to raise awareness among them.The law fair was second of its kind initiative undertaken in the State of J&K creating legal consciousness. SDM Chenani Davinder Sharma also spoke on the occasion.
