District Development Commissioner Anantnag, Mohammad Younis Malik today convened a meeting to take stock of functioning of the Revenue Department in the district.The DDC was informed that till date in the district 135 Jamabandis have been completed while as 280 Jamabandis are under completion process and rest will be completed by March 30this year. Likewise, 313 Girdawaris have been completed.Further, it was given out that scanning of the land records for digitization purpose in all the Tehsils of the district is in progress and, so far, 15000 such documents have been scanned for the said purpose.The meeting was informed that 5 Marlas of land have been identified in each PatwarHalqa for the construction of the PatwarKhanas.Similarly, issues related to land conversion, land acquisition, encroachment, migrant inventory and court cases were discussed threadbare.On the occasion, DDC instructed that weekly awareness camps regarding the Mutation of Property and other related issues should be organised in all the Tehsils under the supervision of ACR Anantnag. He added that conversion of land is a grave issue and needs to be addressed. The DDC further instructed the officers to constitute a task force for early disposal of the issues.The meeting was attended by ADC Anantnag, ACR Anantnag, all the SDMs and Tehsildars of the district.
