State Vigilance Bureau today nabbed clerk of Cooperative Societies Ludhiana red handed for accepting bribe of Rs. 12000/-.Disclosing this here today a spokesperson of Vigilance Bureau Punjab said Parminder Singh, clerk, posted in the office of Assistant Registrar, cooperative Societies in Ludhiana district was caught red handed on the complaint of Mr. Amreek Singh, President of Cooperative agricultural service Society, village Jartoli Ludhiana district.Giving details he said the complainant approached the VB and alleged that the above named clerk demanding bribe of Rs. 50,000  for getting approval from higher authorities to appoint salesman in the Society, and the deal was struck at Rs. 35000/-. After verifying his complaint the VB team laid a trap and the accused was caught red handed with Rs. 12,000 as a first installment and tainted money was recovered from him in the presence of two official witnesses. He informed that a case under Prevention of Corruption Act has been registered against the accused at VB police Ludhiana and further investigation was under progress.
