MLA Doda inaugurates water conservation awareness programme

In view of the mass awareness programmes regarding water conservation being organized in the State by the Department of Public Health Engineering and Irrigation and Flood Control under the sponsorship of Capacity Communication Development Unit (CCDU) J&K, PHE Division Doda also kick started various programmes of mass awareness.The first programme for water conservation awareness was started the other day in the shape of organizing a cricket tournament in which school children of various age groups are participating.The programme was inaugurated by MLA Doda Shakti Raj Parihar in presence of District Development Commissioner Doda Bhawani Rakwal, SSP Doda, Shabir Ahmad, ACR Doda Tariq Naik, Superintending Engineer Hydraulic Circle Doda, Executive Engineer PHE Division Doda, all District and sectoral officer and whole staff of PHE Division Doda.In order to take the awareness door to door as per the directions of Minister for PHE and IFC, MLA Doda in his address highlighted the issue of water conservation and requested all the participants in general and staff of PHE Department Doda in particular to make the public of rural areas aware of the water conservation to save the humanity.​The chain of programmes  schedule to follow on the theme includes Advocacy Workshop, Debate/Symposium at Doda and a rally of students carrying the message of water conservation   at Bhaderwah. The concluding programme shall be held on 5th of March 2018 at Sports Stadium Doda.
