Health & family Welfare Minister Shri Vipin Singh Parmar paid a surprise check on ' 102 Ambulance' service under Janani Shishu Surakasha Karayakarm (JSSK) last evening near Namhol in district Bilaspur. He inspected Ambulances number HP24-A-2759 and HP62-2866. No first aid box was found in the vehicles and Hygiene standards were also miserable. He took cognizance of the conditions in the ambulance and directed departmental officials to take strict action.The Health Minister said that the service was launched to provide better health care services to pregnant women. The free service was implemented across the State to ensure that no pregnant women had to wait for the ambulance in case of any emergency. But the reality of the service reflected a very unhealthy and serious scenario at the spot.It is worth mentioning that the Minister had previously inspected '108 Ambulance' service and directed for strict action in the wake of menial standards in the vehicles.Shri Parmar said that ambulance services being run for the health emergency should be equipped with generic medicines, oxygen cylinder and other essential equipments round the clock. He said appropriate action would be taken against the company if negligence persists in future.Minister also appealed to general public to make a call to these services only in case of emergency and not make fake calls on this numbers. He asked people to make complaint regarding ambulance directly to the Health department .
