MLA Shakti Raj Parihar today inaugurated a plantation drive at Jawahar Novadya Vidayalya (JNV) Arnora Ghat, Doda.The Legislator was accompanied by DDC Bhawani Rakwal, Conservator of Forest Chenab Circle T.B. Singh, SSP Mohd Shabir Khatana and Principal JNV Arnora.Speaking on the occasion Parihar highlighted the importance of trees in maintaining the ecological balance and exhorted upon the people, especially students to actively participate in the plantation drives and strive to maintain clean and green environment.“Plantation and green cover generation are essential to maintain human-ecosystem and preserve the environment to reduce landslides”, Parihar asserted.He impressed upon the officers of concerned departments to implement the action plan regarding plantation drive in the district in letter and spirit.DFO Doda, Rangers, Forest officers besides other officers and officials of various departments were present on the occasion.
