Divisional Commissioner Kashmir Baseer Ahmad Khan today reviewed the situation after snowfall and directed officers to ensure that all essential services and commodities are provided without interruption.The Div Com reviewed the situation at a meeting with Deputy Commissioner Srinagar and other officers from concerned departments. DC’s of other districts of Kashmir valley participated in the meeting through video conference.The Div Com reviewed the working of hospitals, status of water and power supply and asked the concerned departments to work in coordination to ensure uninterrupted supply of essentials.The Div Com especially reviewed the disaster preparedness for hilly areas where there are dangers of avalanche and heavy snowfall. He directed the police and civil administration to work in tandem to meet any eventuality.Earlier the Div Com along with DC Srinagar and other officials conducted a city tour and visited various hospitals to review their functioning. He called on the officials to ensure that all medics and paramedics are present on duty and proper medicare is provided to patients.The Div Com directed the concerned to ensure adequate steps to check   water logging to avoid inconvenience to people.
