DPOs of ICDS asked to submit list of NGOs/volunteer organizations

A spokesman of the State Government said here today that all the District Programme Officers of ICDS have been asked to submit the list of NGOs/volunteer organizations working for women welfare and empowerment, of their respective districts registered under Societies Act, 2006, so that they could be further registered with the State Commission for Women.  He said that the DPOs should ensure that there was atleast one NGO/volunteer organization from each sub-division/block.  The spokesman said that interested NGO/organization should be registered under the HP Societies Registration Act, 2006 for at least three years. He said that they should be working for the upliftment of the women and their empowerment. The NGOs/organizations should have a clean track record and should preferably have audited accounts for last three years, he added.He said that the District Programme Officers, ICDS have been asked to send brief activities schedule, constitution of NGO, society registration certificate, name of President and Secretary with phone number, three audit statements and clean track record certificate from local police, where the NGO/organization is functional to the Member Secretary HP State Commission for Women, Shimla-1.
