The leaders, party workers and supporters of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), Chandigarh displayed solidarity and inner strength at the ‘Executives Meet’ held at party office Kamlam, Sector 33 today. The meeting was aimed at accelerating the poll-campaign and to prepare the strategies. The meet was addressed by the BJP’s MP candidate for Chandigarh Lok Sabha seat, Kirron Kher, State President, Sanjay Tandon, former MP, Satya Pal Jain, Party In-charge, Chandigarh, Arti Mehra and other senior leaders. The Vice President, Rambir Bhatti welcomed the party workers and apprised them about the value of every vote. The senior leader of the party, S S Chawla sung a Punjabi poem to introduce Kirron Kher.

While appreciating the poem and efforts of the party workers, Kirron Kher said, “Time is a constraint and every minute is very important for us. The party high command has given me a chance to serve the people of my hometown. Every member of the BJP is my strength and fills me with the confidence. We will work together for the development of the city and will register the victory with the thumping margins”.Speaking on the occasion, Sanjay Tandon said, “Leaving behind all the comforts, the party workers have been contributing in a big to BJP from the last 15 years. I am reminded of an anecdote in Ramayana when the ‘Vanar Sena’ laid stones in the sea for making the route. There was a little squirrel that soaked itself in sand and water and rubbed against the stones to create a link to the path. In these LS- Elections, everybody's effort will be required to build the path to the victory of the BJP across India. This is the time to channelise the enthusiasm in one direction. This is not only my test but it is the test of every party worker,”.

While expressing full faith in the party cadre, Satya Pal Jain said that this was the time to show door to the Congress which has been cheating the common man by his false promises. “My party workers have always supported me irrespective of the victory or defeat. We stand united and we will work together to get rid of the corrupt governance. The city will witness an end of scam tainted congress leader’s rule and the Narendra Modi will be the prime minister of India.Mahabharata was fought in 18 days and our time starts now”, Jain added. The leader of the opposition in MC, Arun Sood appealed to the party workers to strengthen the booth level management. Arti Mehra was impressed with the enthusiasm among the party workers who have been spreading the BJP’s ideologies among masses. After the meeting Kirron Kher left for the Gurudwara in sector 34 for the prayers.
