Vice Chancellor Kashmir University, Prof Khurshid Andrabi, today flagged off an educational tour and cultural delegations for participating in various events.A delegation comprising 25 students led by Cultural Officer, Kashmir University, Shahid Ali Khan, will participate in the 6th National Chandigarh Cultural festival being hosted by Chandigrah University, Mohali from 9th to 10th February 2018.During the event, the students will participate in different categories of competitive cultural events in art, music, theatre and culture.Another group led by Assistant Professor of Women's Studies Centre, Dr. Shazia, comprising 40 students from various departments of Kashmir University will visit universities in Delhi, Punjab and UP besides other historical places in these states.Similarly, another team comprising 9 members led by Cultural Officer Kashmir University, Shahid Ali Khan, will represent North India in the debate, installation and mimicry events at All India Level National Youth Festival being organised by Association of Indian Universities, New Delhi at Ranchi University, from 16 to 20th February 2018.While interacting with the students, Prof Andrabi said that these interactions are very important for overall development of a student which give them opportunities to learn from their own experiences and from the experience of others.Registrar University of Kashmir, Prof Khurshid A Butt, also spoke on the occasion and wished the teams success.Earlier, the Dean of Students Welfare Prof. G. N Khaki acknowledged the support of Vice Chancellor and Registrar towards student’s community in such activities.
