Director Agriculture Kashmir. Syed Altaf Aijaz Andrabi today convened a meeting to review the progress on implementation of various key schemes in Budgam District.Speaking on the occasion, Director Agriculture called for expediting the pace of expenditure under different programmes and schemes. He said in view of timely release of funds to the different districts under different centrally sponsored schemes, there is absolutely no reason that the balanced pace of expenditure should not be ensured.During the meeting, detailed discussions were held regarding the expenditure and liability positions of various schemes and programmes including “Rashtriya Krishi Vikas Yojna” (RKVY), “Pradhan Mantri Krishi Sinchai Yojna” (PMKSY), “National Food Security Mission” (NFSM) etc.Addressing the officers, Director Agriculture emphasised on strict implementation of different programmes and 100% expenditure of allocated funds by the end of this last quarter of current fiscal. He asked the officers to strictly follow the guidelines of different schemes in letter and spirit and ensure that unnecessary liabilities are not created. Director Agriculture expressed serious displeasure over the absence and underperformance of few officers/ officials and directed the concerned officers to initiate the action under rules against the officers.The meeting was attended by Joint Director Agriculture Extension Abdul Rahim Samoon, Joint Director Agriculture Inputs Sajad Ahmad Shah, Chief Agriculture Officer Budgam Shabir Ahmad Shah and all district officers/ officials of the department.
