Dr Jitendra Singh inaugurates exhibition by Divyang foot artist Uttam Bhardwaj

The Union Minister of State (Independent Charge) for Development of North Eastern Region (DoNER), MoS PMO, Personnel, Public Grievances, Pensions, Atomic Energy and Space Dr Jitendra Singh inaugurated an exhibition by Divyang foot artist Shri Uttam Bhardwaj here today. Belonging to Jammu and Kashmir, Shri Bhardwaj is painting since the age of 10 years and in the last 8 years he has painted almost 200 paintings.After inaugurating the exhibition, Dr Jitendra Singh congratulated Shri Bhardwaj for depicting his art and creativity through various themes and titles in the paintings. He said that through this exhibition, his art will reach the whole country.  He said that Shri Bhardwaj is perhaps the first of its kind artist in whole country. He also commended the painter for depicting various themes related to flagship programmes of the Government through his paintings. These schemes included welfare schemes of Government related to general public, poor and women. Paintings are a good medium of communication, he added. He also appreciated Shri Bhardwaj for his determination and dedication and turning his adversity into virtue. He also said that people should come and see these paintings to encourage other artists.The exhibition is at 2nd Floor, Civil Services Officers Institute (CSOI), Chankyapuri, New Delhi. In this exhibition, 47 paintings have been displayed. It is open for general public from 11 am to 6 pm till 12th February, 2018.
