99 CRF projects worth Rs 1306.47 Cr taken up in Kashmir Province : Naeem Akhtar

Minister for Public Works, Naeem Akhtar informed the house that 99 CRF projects at an estimated cost of Rs 1306.47 crore have been sanctioned for Kashmir Province since the inception of the scheme.Replying to a question of legislator Mohammad Yousuf Bhat, the Minister informed that Rs 378.18 crore has been expended on these projects till date.The Minister further informed that 27 projects have been completed and work on remaining 72 projects is at various stages of completion.Responding to another part of the question, the Minister said that out of 99 projects under CRF scheme in Kashmir province, 2 projects including widening/upgradation of Bijbehara-Shopian road and up-gradation of Nagbal-Turkawangam road, Wasohallan-Hajipora road and  Baskushan-Kawhara road have been taken up at an estimated cost of Rs 51.39 crore in Shopian district.He further informed that Rs 3.18 crore has been spent to date and the construction works is in progress on both the projects.‘DPR for Khawaja Sahab-Chanapal Chattibanday road being formulated’

The Works Minister informed the House that DPR for up-gradation of 5.50 KM Khawaja Sahib to Chanapal Chattibanday road is under formulation at a cost of Rs.4.08 crore.Replying to a question by Mr Usman Abdul Majid, the Minister said that in view of the poor condition of the road, Chief Minister during her public outreach programme to Bandipora on Dec 3, 2017 issued directions for taking up this road for improvement/up-gradation by R&B department.  He said pursuant to the direction of the Chief Minister the process for the formulation of DPR was started for the Chattibanday to Gujjarpati road under new nomenclature namely ‘Khawaja Sahib to Chanpal Chattibanday road’. Meanwhile, he informed that the road was sanctioned under PMGSY Phase-II and taken up for execution by Rural Development Department at a cost of Rs 1.59 crore of which Rs.1.22 crore has been utilized.‘43 CRF projects worth Rs 599.20 cr approved in 2016-17’Replying to a clubbed question of Hakeem Mohammad Yasin, the Minister for Works said the Government has received approval of 43 CRF projects worth Rs 599.20 crore during 2016-17, on which work is at different levels of construction.

He, however, said that state government submitted 148 connectivity projects worth Rs 2275.75 crore to Union Government for approval under the scheme in last two years adding that the left out projects proposed during 2017-18 are under its active consideration.  Responding to another part of the clubbed question, the Minister said that 174 NABARD road projects worth Rs 643.25 crore were taken up in the state during the last two years. He said the cumulative expenditure of Rs 268.41 crore was incurred on these projects and 16 roads were completed so far while work on others is in progress. Similarly, under CRF scheme during the last two year, 49 works worth Rs 840.55 crore were taken up, out of which Rs.51.66 crore was incurred till date. About Khansahib constituency, the Minister said that during 2016-17 up-gradation of the road from Randak Daji Jawalpora Waterhail Gaffarabad via Samsen upto Yarikhah was sanctioned under CRF at a cost of Rs 15 crore. He said the work on the road is in progress and an amount of Rs 20.83 lakh has been utilized on the scheme.The Minister further said that under NABARD upgradation of two road projects including Kremshore Shogpora (Tilampora link road) and Khansahib Balpora, Raithan Yarikhah and Gurwait Pahnar road at an estimated cost of Rs 8.87 crore was taken up in 2016-17 and an amount of Rs 6.60 crore has been spent on these till date.Mr. G. M. Saroori raised supplementary to the main question.
