The district administration Reasi has taken over possession of more than 400 kanal of land and handed it over to Housing and Urban Development Department (H&UDD) for establishment of new bus stand.Pertinently, the operation was launched by the district administration after the petitions were disposed off by the J&K High Court.Deputy Commissioner Prasanna Ramaswamy G had constituted a committee led by collector land acquisition (ACR) Harbans Lal to look into various issues pertaining the project.The district administration today after leveling and marking of the land raised boundary wall around the acquired land.Among other SDM Neelam Khajuria, Chief Executive Officer Jagdish Mehra, XEN PWD Hem Raj Langeh, Tehsildar Katra Mohit Raina, ASP Naresh and SHO Katra Arvind Sambyal were present on the occasion.The creation of a new bus stand in Katra will go a long way in easing the traffic congestion in the heart of Katra town and provide relief to not only the locals but also Lakhs of pilgrims visiting the holy shrine every year.
