Virbhadra Singh, Chief Minister, Himachal Pradesh released here today the book titled ‘Commentary on the H.P. Tenancy and Land Reforms Act’ authored by Shri Abhishek Barowalia.Shri Virbhadra Singh congratulated the author for bringing out such a nice and exhaustive book on a very crucial subject of public importance and hoped that excellent and pertinent material incorporated in the book will not only prove useful for advocates and students of law but would also prove beneficial to the general public.

Mr. Justice Kurian Joseph, Chief Justice, High Court of Himachal Pradesh, In his foreword to the book, has written that ‘Mr. Abhishek Barowalia, the young and dynamic advocate, has done a great service to the legal fraternity by making an earnest attempt to analyse various provisions of the Act in lucid language. Abhishek Barowalia is an advocate in High Court of Himachal Pradesh and has earlier authored ‘Commentary on the Himachal Pradesh Police Act’, ‘Commentary on the Himachal Pradesh Urban Rent Control Act’ besides being co-author of books titled ‘Commentary on the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act’ and ‘Commentary on the Himachal Pradesh Land Revenue Act’. Mr. Abhishek had been Press Secretary – NSUI (2002-2003); State Secretary - H.P State Youth Congress (2003-2004); State General Secretary - H.P State Youth Congress (2004-2008) and Additional Spokesman - H.P State Youth Congress (2006-2008). In the social field he is the President of National Environmental Protection and Research Center (Reg. NGO) since 2003 and General Secretary of National Consumer Protection and Research Center (Reg. NGO) since 2004. He also remained Member of the Himachal Pradesh Youth Board of the Government of Himachal Pradesh from 2005 to 2007.
