District Development Commissioner (DDC) Doda, Bhawani Rakwal in presence of Chief Medical Officer (CMO) Dr. Wajid Ali Najar today inaugurated Pulse Polio Immunization (PPI) programme round 1st at OPD Block New District Hospital here.DDC launched the Pulse Polio programme by administering polio drops to the children at OPD block and visited some of the booths setup in the interior of the town to take stock of the arrangements made by the health department.CMO Doda informed that a total of 76,952 children of 0-5 years have been identified in the district and in order to cover all the children about 2230 vaccinators from Health, Education department , ICDS workers, ASHAs, and Voluntary workers have been deployed to administer polio drops. Besides 106 Supervisors at 531 PPI booths have also been deployed for ensuring 100% immunization.In this programme 23,807 children are being covered in Ghat, 10,966 in Bhaderwah, 13,876 in Assar, 12,501 in Gandoh and 15,802 in Thathri.
