District Development Commissioner (DDC), PoonchTariq Ahmad Zargar, in presence of Chief Medical Officer, Dr. Mumtaz Bhatti today launched three day pulse polio immunization drive by administering Oral Polio Vaccine to an infant at Raja Sukhdev Singh District Hospital here.DDC informed that Oral Polio Vaccine will be administered to 75772 children in 426 vaccination booths set up in the district.He further informed that 1705 workers have been deputed to these established booths besides 88 supervisors for ensuring absolute coverage. 14 transit point have also been established at bus stands and religious places to cover children who may have skipped vaccination while in transit.He further added that the drive will continue as house visits by the field-level health functionaries to cover 13 far flung hard to reach areas of the district.
