Several deputations from different walks of life today called on the Chief Minister, Mehbooba Mufti here today.The deputations brought their demands into her notice and sought their redressal.The Chief Minister enquired from the deputations about the pace of execution of works following her public outreach programmes in various districts of the State.A deputation of people from Mendhar raised issues of pacing up of developmental process in the area, construction of Zinda Peer-Suina Katha bridge and other  problems.Deputations from Nubra and Zanskar sought strengthening of educational infrastructure in their areas and introduction of air service to boost connectivity to the region. They also demanded strengthening of sports infrastructure in the area.A deputation of Hotel owners Association of Jammu thanked the Chief Minister for timely execution of work on parking slot at Jammu Bus stand and Maharaja Hari Singh Park. They demanded opening up of Suchetgarh for border tourism besides expediting work on Bagh e Bahu tourism project and Mubarak Mandi heritage project.

A deputation of Christians demanded taking steps for restoring faith of members of Christian community in the Nowshehra area following some recent violent acts.A deputation of Kashmiri Pandits from Durga Nagar sought resumption of bus service to their area, setting up of a health centre and augmentation of power distribution network in the area.A deputation of Fruit Growers Association sought tax exemptions on the Walnut produce besides taking steps for encouraging the local produce.A deputation of people from Kathua sought pacing up of probe into the killing of a young girl there recently. They also sought strengthening of drinking water facilities in ST habitations. Another deputation from Samba sought strengthening of power distribution network in the town.A deputation of people from Gujjar Nagar sought betterment of civic amenities in their area. Deputations from Doda and Kishtwar sought pacing up of development works in their districts.Deputations from Anantnag, Homeshalibugh, Shopian, Rajouri and other areas also met Mehbooba Mufti and sought redressal of their issues.The Chief Minister listened to the demands of the deputations patiently and assured to redress them in a time bound manner.
