69th Republic Day was celebrated with gaiety and fervour across the State today. Governor Acharya Devvrat unfurled the National Flag and took the salute of a march past at the State-level Republic Day function held on the historic Ridge Maidan, Shimla.The Governor inspected the parade and took salute from an impressive march past, led by Parade Commander Capt. Deepak Mathpal from 22 Rajput Rifles.Lady Governor Smt. Darshana Devi and Chief Minister Shri Jai Ram Thakur were also present on the occasion.The March past was presented by the contingents of Army, Indo-Tibet Border Police, SSB Jawans, Uttarakhand Police, ex-servicemen, State Police, Home Guards, Bharat Scouts & Guides and NCC cadets. A colourful cultural programme representing all districts was also presented on the occasion. Tableaux highlighting various development activities of different departments also formed part of the Republic Day celebration.Weapon Display was performed by ITBP jawans which was lauded by one and all.

Cultural troupe Kullu got the first prize, second prize to Bilaspur and Hamirpur got the third prize. Similarly, Tableaux of Health department focussed on 'Beti Bachhao' has given the first prize, Sarv Shiksha Abhiyan (SSA) got second and Agriculture and Tourism departments have been given third prize jointly. The Governor awarded the winners.Education  Minister Shri Suresh Bhardwaj, MLAs Shri Narender Bragta and Shri Balbir Verma, Mayor Smt. Kusum Sadret, Deputy Mayor Shri Rakesh Kumar, Chief Secretary Shri Vineet Chawdhary, Director General of Police Shri S.R.Mardi, Additional Chief Secretary-cum-Principal Secretary to Chief Minister Smt. Manisha Nanda, other senior Civil, Police and Military officers were also present on the occasion amongst others. 

At Hamirpur

69th Republic Day was celebrated at Hamirpur with great gaiety and fanfare. Speaker Himachal Pradesh Vidhan Sabha  Dr Rajeev Bindal presided over the district level function held at Government Senior Secondary School for Boys ground Hamirpur. Dr Bindal un-furled the Tri-colour and took salute from the contingent of Police, Home Guard, NCC, NSS and school children.Speaking on the occasion, Dr Bindal said that the people of the country were indebted to the freedom fighters, who gave their supreme sacrifice to set the nation free from foreign yoke. He said that the State was doing commendable service under Bharat Swachhata Mission. He said that several schemes were being implemented for the welfare of the poor in the State.MLA Shri Narinder Thakur and Smt. Kamlesh Kumari, former MLA Vijay Agnihotri were present on the occasion among others.

At Kangra

Irrigation and Public Health, Horticulture and Sainik Welfare Minister Shri Mahender Singh Thakur presided over district level function held at Dharamshala. He un-furled the Tri-colour and took salute from the contingent of Police, Home Guard, NCC, NSS and school children.Speaking on the occasion Shri Thakur said that water supply schemes worth Rs 3267 crore would be implemented for the rural areas of the State through BRICS Funding. He said that Rs 1134 crore scheme would be implemented soon for horticulture development in the State.He thanked Prime Minister for including Himachal Pradesh under UDAN Scheme. This would certainly add to tourism sector, besides saving journey time by road. He said that under the scheme the helicopter services would be provided at cheaper rates to the people from various destinations. The services would be provided from Kasauli to Shimla, Manali to Kullu, Mandi to Dharamshala, Kullu and Shimla, Nathpa Jhakri, to Rampur, Rampur to Nathpa-Jhakri and Shimla and Shimla to Kasauli, Mandi and Rampur.He also thanked the Chief Minister for announcing 8 per cent IR to the employees and pensioners of the State.MLA Shri Hoshiyar Singh, Deputy Speaker Tibetan Parliament, of the Tibetan Government in exile Shri Yeshe Funchok, senior officers of the district were present on the occasion among others.

At Una

Republic Day was celebrated at Una with gaiety and fanfare. Food, Civil Supplies and Consumer Affairs Minister, Shri Kishan Kapoor presided over the district level function held at Government Senior Secondary School for Boys ground Una.He un-furled the Tri-colour and took salute from the contingent of Police, Home Guard, NCC, NSS and school children.Speaking on the occasion, Shri Kapoor said that a provision of Rs 220 crore has been earmarked for providing essential commodities to the consumers at subsidized rate through fair price shops. He said that the State Government has announced three percent Dearness Allowance  for the State Government employees and pensioners from July, 2017. He said that 8 per cent IR has also been announced for the employees from January, 2016. He said that IIIT has been opened in Una and Indian Oil Corporation Depot has been sanctioned for Una.Shri Kapoor said that 69 National Highways has also been sanctioned for the State by the Union Government. He said that the State Government would frame a Policy for construction and maintenance of roads in the State. He said that the State Government has enhanced support price of citrus fruits under the MIS for benefit of the farmers.BJP State President Shri Satpal Singh Satti, MLA Shri Satpal Raizada and other senior leaders were present on the occasion among others. A colourful culture programme was also presented on the occasion.

At Kullu

69th Republic Day was celebrated at Kullu. MPP & Power Minister Shri Anil Sharma presided over the district level function held at Dhalpur ground Kullu.The Minister un-furled the Tri-colour and took salute from the contingent of ITBP, Police, SSB, NCC and NSS.Speaking on the occasion, Shri Anil Sharma said that the State Government has adopted the 'Swarnim Himachal Drishti Patra-2017' of the BJP as the policy document of the State Government. He said that all the Departments have been asked to prepare a 100 day road map of their aims and targets.Shri Sharma said that the employees were the backbone of any government and keeping this in view the government has announced  three percent Dearness Allowance  for the State Government employees and pensioners from July, 2017.MLA Shri Surender Shouri and Shri Surinder Singh Thakur, DC Shri Yunus Khan, SP Ms. Shalini Agnihotri were present on the occasion among others.

At Chamba

Urban Development and Housing Minister Smt. Sarveen Chaudhary presided over the district level function held at historic Chaugan ground Chamba.The Minister un-furled the Tri-colour and took salute from the contingent of ITBP, Police and NCC.She said that 69 National Highways has also been sanctioned for the State by the Union Government. She said that Chamba district was known for diverse culture and rich heritage.  She said that State Government was committed to explore immense tourism potential of the district.Deputy Speaker Vidhan Sabha Shri Hansraj, MLAs Shri Pawan  Nayyar and Shri Jialal, District President BJP Shri D.S.Thakur were present on the occasion among others.

At Mandi

Health and Family Welfare Minister Shri Vipin Singh Parmar presided over district level function held at historic Seri Manch Mandi. He un-furled the Tri-colour and took salute from the contingent of Police, Home Guard, NCC, NSS and school children.Speaking on the occasion, Shri Parmar said that the State Government was committed for Zero tolerance towards corruption and won’t tolerate any type of mafia, whether it be Forest Mafia, Drug Mafia or Mining Mafia. He said that the Government has decided to adopt the 'Swarnim Himachal Drishti Patra-2017' of the BJP as the policy document of the State Government to make Himachal Pradesh most prosperous State of the country.Health Minister said that Centre Government has sanctioned Rs 1351 crore for AIIMS at Bilaspur. He said that Satellite Centre of PGI would be established at Una. He said that 100 allopathic and 200 ayurvedic doctors would be recruited in the State within 100 days. He said that work would be expedited on Mother-Child Care Centre coming up in Mandi district.MP Shri Ramswaroop Sharma, MLAs Shri Vinod Kumar, Shri Rakesh Jamwal, Shri Jawhar Thakur and Shri Inder Singh Gandhi, former MLA Shri D.D.Thakur and Shri Kanihaya Lal were present on the occasion among others.

At Sirmour

Rural Development and Panchayati Raj Minister Shri Virender Kanwar presided over district level function held at historic Chaugan Nahan. He un-furled the Tri-colour and took salute from the contingent of Police, Home Guard, NCC and school children.Speaking on the occasion, the Minister said that house would be provided to all the homeless poor by the year 2022. He said that efforts would be made to increase the income of the farmers by implementing schemes for their welfare.He said that an amount of Rs 30 crore would be spent on solid and liquid waste management on 228 gram panchayats of the district. He said that as under National Employment Guarantee Scheme, Rs 30 crore were being spent for providing employment to 26,601 job card holders during the current financial year.MLA Shri Sukh Ram Chaudhary and Shri Suresh Kashyap, former Minister Smt. Shyama Sharma former MLA Shri Baldev Tomer and Shri Roop Singh were present on the occasion among others.

At Solan

69th Republic Day was celebrated with great enthusiasm in district Solan today. Industries, Labour and Employment, Technical Education and Vocational and Industrial Training Minister Shri Bikram Singh presided over the district level function organized at historic Thodo Ground. He unfurled the National Flag and took salute at an impressive march past by contingents of Police, Home Guard, NCC, Scout and Guides and various schools. Sub Inspector Shri Sunil Dutt commanded the parade.Earlier, Shri Bikram Singh led the people in paying floral tributes at Shaheed Samark Chambaghat.Shri Bikram Singh said that progress and industrial development are correlated. He said that industrial development along with preservation of environment would be the priority of the government. He said that efforts would be made to use industrialization as a means of increasing income and providing ample employment and self employment avenues to the people.Industries Minister said that the State Government would emphasize on 'Ease of Doing Business' for entrepreneurs. Efforts would be made to provide at least 80 percent employments to the Himachali youth in various industries. He said that the State Government had requested the union government to provide 100 percent income tax exemption to industries in the state for the first five years and 50 percent for next five years.Member of Parliament Prof. Virender Kashyap, Vice Chairman State Khadi and Village Industries Board Shri Purshottam Guleria,  Acting President District BJP Shri Pawan Gupta, Senior BJP leaders, DC, SP, Senior Officers and prominent people were present on the occasion. 

At Bilaspur

Forest and Transport Minister Shri Govind Singh presided over the district level function held at Bilaspur today.Shri Govind Singh un-furled the Tri-colour and took salute from the contingent of Police, Home Guard, NCC and students. A colourful function was also held on the occasion.

At Kinnaur

69th Republic Day was celebrated at Rekong Peo, district headquarter of Kinnaur district. Social Justice and Empowerment Minister Dr Rajiv Saizal presided over the district level function.The Minister un-furled the Tri-colour and took salute from the contingent of ITBP, Police, Home Guard and students of DIET.Dr Saizal said that the State Government has taken few significant decisions with a view to improve the quality of life of the people. He said that Government has decreased the age eligibility criteria of old-age pension from 80 years to 70 years, which would benefit thousands of aged people. He said that tribal districts of Kinnaur and Lahaul and Spiti would be developed from the tourism point of view.Deputy Commissioner Kinnaur Shri Gopal Chand, Chairperson Zila Parishad Kumari Pratishawari Devi were present on the occasion among others.

At Lahaul-Spiti

Deputy Commissioner Lahaul and Spiti, Shri Ashwani Chaudhary presided over the district level function held at district headquarter Keylong. He un-furled the Tri-colour and took salute from the contingent of Police, Home Guard and students.He detailed various developmental activities being going on in the district.Culture programmes presented by the school children remain the main attraction of the celebration.
