Chairman, Jammu and Kashmir Legislative Council, Haji Anayat Ali, has expressed gratitude to Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti and Union Minister for Civil Aviation Ashok Gajapati Raju for including Kargil in the list of destinations to be covered under UDAN for air services.The Chairman appreciated concern of the Prime Minister and Chief Minister towards welfare and development of people of all regions of the state.Chairman thanked the Central and State Government for prioritizing all developmental works for the region. He said that construction of Zojila Tunnel, regularization of daily wagers accord of sanction to 10% Special duty allowance for employees of Ladakh region, helicopter service between Srinagar and Kargil, Srinagar and Drass, Kargil and Padum and various road projects and bridges under CRF and PMGSY are historical decisions and reflect the sincere efforts of the present dispensation for development of the area.
