In connection with celebration of 69th Republic-Day, full dress rehearsals were held in all the district headquarters of Jammu Division on Wednesday.At Jammu, the full dress rehearsal for Republic Day was held at Maulana Azad Stadium Jammu in which Divisional Commissioner Hemant Kumar Sharma took salute at the march past presented by the contingents of JKAP, JKP, CRPF, IRP, Auxiliary Police, Fire & Emergency Services, J&K Forest Protection Force NCC cadets, schools and others.A scintillating cultural bonanza depicting patriotism, culture and message against the social evils was also presented by the school Children.Various government departments also displayed their tableau’s depicting their functioning and achievements.Director General of Police (DGP) S. P. Vaid, Deputy Commissioner Jammu Kumar Rajeev Ranjan, Commissioner, Jammu Municipal Corporation Ramesh Kumar and senior officers from police and civil administration were also present on the occasion.At Udhampur, the main event was held at Government PG College Boys ground in which Deputy Commissioner, Ravinder Kumar, hoisted the National flag and took salute at an impressive march past of 37 contingents drawn from CRPF, SKPA, Home Guards, District Police, NCC, educational Institutions besides Police Band, took part in a full dress rehearsal.Cultural troupes of different educational institutions participated in the Full dress rehearsal.Senior Superintendent of Police, Additional Deputy Commissioner, Assistant Commissioner Revenue, Chief Education Officer, Chief Executive Officer, MC, Executive Engineers of PWD, District Youth Services and Sports Officer, ASP besides other district heads of various departments participated in the full dress rehearsal.
At Reasi, the full dress rehearsal was held at Mini Sports Stadium where Deputy Commissioner (DC) Prasanna Ramaswamy G took the salute at the march past by the contingents of IRP, J&K Police, STC Talwara, NCC and various educational institutions.SSP Tahir Bhat and various other Officers from civil administration, police and educational institutions were present on the occasion.Students presented scintillating cultural programmes based on patriotic themes.At Samba, a colorful full dress rehearsal was held at Arazi Stadium, in which Deputy Commissioner, Sheetal Nanda hoisted the tricolor and took salute at the march past in which 43 Contingents drawn from District Police, NCC and schools participated.Students from various government and private schools presented cultural programmes on the occasion.Senior Superintendent of Police, ADC besides other officers were present on the occasion.At Kathua, the function was held at District Sports Stadium in which District Development Commissioner, Rohit Khajuria, hoisted the National Flag and took salute at the march past by 49 contingents from CRPF, District Police, Police Training School, NCC boys and girls and platoons of boys and girls from different government as well as private educational institutions.Number of school children from Government and Private educational institutes presented scintillating and colorful cultural programmes including traditional folk songs.ADC, SSP, ASP, District Officers and Principals of Government and Private schools besides large number of students attended the function.At Doda, the full dress rehearsal was held in the sports stadium Doda where District Development Commissioner Bhawani Rakwal after inspection of the parade took salute at the march past by contingents drawn from the CRPF, JKAP, JKP, FPF, Home Guard, NCC and Government and Private school children.Additional Deputy Commissioner, SSP, ASP, SP Ops, Assistant Commissioner Revenue, Dy SP Hqrs, Dy SP, other senior officers of District Administration besides a large number of teachers and students from different schools were present during the rehearsal.Similar full dress rehearsals were held at various parts of the district including Boys Higher Secondary School Bhaderwah where Additional Deputy Commissioner Bhadewah Imam din took salute and inspected the parade.
At Ramban, the full dress rehearsal was held at District Police Line Chandrog, Ramban where District Development Commissioner, Tariq Hussain Ganai, hoisted the National Flag and took salute from the contingents.As many as, 17 contingents including Military Band, CRPF, IRP, JKP, FPF, NCC squads and students' contingents drawn from various institutions took part in the parade.DDC inspected the parade and witnessed the band drill, cultural programme including folk songs, national songs and dance items.Among others SSP, ADDC, ASP, ACR, heads of various institutions besides prominent citizens were present on the occasion.At Poonch, a scintillating full-dress rehearsal program was held at Sports Stadium Poonch, where Deputy Commissioner Tariq Ahmad Zargar hoisted the National Flag and inspected the march-past by the contingents comprising JKAP, JKP, home guard, NCC cadets besides contingents of different schools children.Senior Superintendent of Police, Addl Deputy Commissioner, Addl Superintendent of Police, Dysp Hqrs, Dysp, Chief Education Officer, Executive Engineers PWD, PDD, PHE, District Youth and Sports Officer, CEO municipality and other officers from police and civil administration were also present on the occasion.
At Rajouri, the district administration conducted a full dress rehearsal at District Police Line Rajouri in which Additional District Development Commissioner, Avtar Singh Chib, hoisted the tricolor and took salute at the March Past presented by 29 contingents of JKAP, JK Executive Police, CRPF, JK Lady Police, JK FPF, Home Guard and NCC besides the contingents of Senior Group Students and Junior Group, students from various government and private educational institutes.A variety of cultural programmes depicting the cultural diversity of the district were presented by the participating troupes.The full dress rehearsal was also conducted in all the sub-divisions and tehsils of the district.Present on the occasion were SSP, Addll SP, ACR, Executive Engineers of all engineering departments, SDPO besides all district officers.At Kishtwar, the event was held at Parade ground Kishtwar in which District Development Commissioner Angrez Singh Rana unfurled the tricolour and took salute at the March past presented by contingents of CRPF, CISF, JKP, Forest Protection Force, NCC and different schools children.Over 1000 children of different schools of the district participated in the full dress March past which was followed by cultural programme.SSP, ADC, ACR, CPO besides other senior Officers of district administration were present on the occasion.While reviewing all arrangements, DDC enjoined upon all district officers to shoulder their responsibility with great dedication and devotion to make the national programme successful.Similar rehearsals were held in other parts of the district.
