Director Agriculture, Syed Altaf Aijaz Andrabi, today directed the officials of the department to ensure that the budgetary allocations to their respective districts under different centrally sponsored schemes and projects are fully utilized by the end of last quarter of current fiscal.Speaking on the occasion, the Director called upon officers to reflect the needs of their districts while preparing the “Detailed Project Reports” (DPRs) for different programmes and schemes allocated to them are utilized to full by the end of this financial year. He said all the activities carried out by the department at different levels should be digitized simultaneously so that the e-governance project can be completed within the stipulated time. He asked the officers to see to it that the ongoing programmes are successfully completed at the earliest to avoid cost and time overrun.He impressed upon the officers to keep a digital track of all the centrally sponsored schemes being implemented in the divisions and make it a point that these schemes are executed as per the set guidelines and timeline already decided. He directed Chief Agriculture Officers of concerned districts to take periodic reviews of different Schemes in their districts so that a systematic monitoring mechanism can be evolved to achieve satisfactory results.
