DDC Anantnag reviews implementation of CM’s commitments, Capex budget

The District Development Commissioner Anantnag, Mohammad Younis Malik chaired a meeting to review the status of directions passed by Chief Minister during her public outreach programme, and Capex budget here today.DDC was informed that under Capex budget 2017-18, Rs 205 crore is the allocation, out of which Rs 125.52 crore is the availability by ending December 2017. So far, an expenditure of Rs. 104 crore has been made.Regarding the directions passed by the CM in her outreach programme on November 11, 2017, it was given out that out of 319 directions, 28 have been implemented while as rest are in different phases of execution.While reviewing progress under R&B sector, it was given out that work on renovation of SDH Bijbehara, development of parking site at Wazir Bagh, renovation of PHC Saller is going on in full swing while as DPR has been formulated in respect of ADV road, Ujroo-Dooru road, Dooru-Lisser road, Hakura bridge, widening of Qazigund roads, and others.  The DDC was further told that in Kokernag constituency 26.6 kms of road length has been macadamised so far.

It was given out that work on WSS Brinty has been completed while as work is going on at WSS Indroo-Pushroo, WSS Ar-Khushipora and Damhal, production well Chek-i-Isherdass, borewell Khiram, and desilting of Nandi canal is in progress. The Exen PHE informed that DPR has been formulated in respect of WSS Regional Hapatnar and Kokernag, WSS Right Brengi Canal and augmentation of WSS Larnoo has been submitted to higher authorities for approval.In power sector, the DDC was told that upgradation of Transmission and Distribution(T&D) system in different areas of the district has been made while as augmentation of receiving station Shankerpora,  Sallar is under progress and rest have been proposed under DDUGJY and IPDS. The concerned Exen informed that street lights at the approach road to Railway Station have been installed and are fully functional.

The ACD informed the meeting that desilting of Panzeth spring has been completed under MGNREGS and that Lehandajan has been identified as the model village where an amount of Rs 10 crore shall be spent on development of public utility infrastructure by different departments. It was added that 30 street lights have been installed at Sallar village. The ACD also apprised the DDC about the status of other works taken up by the RDD.Reviewing the health sector, the DDC was apprised that dialysis unit shall be made functional at District Hospital with 3 months while as proposal for upgradation of PHE Verinag, Larnoo, Achabal, Sallar and Sheikhpora has been sent to higher authorities for approval in addition to creation of Child & Maternity facility at Qazigund and creation of Medical Block at Kokernag.The DDC also reviewed the status of the directions passed in respect of Education, Agriculture, Horticulture, Floriculture, Social Welfare, and other departments.

On the occasion, the DDC directed all the concerned departments to make concerted efforts in ensuring  implementation of the directions passed by the Chief Minister within the stipulated time.The meeting was attended by ADC Anantnag, ADDC Anantnag, General Manager Industries, PO ICDS, CEO PDA, KDA, SDM Pahalgam, Exens of R&B, Hydraulics, I&FC, PMGSY, PDD, Chief Education Officer, DSWO, EOs of Municipalities, Tehsildars, BDOs, LBM, and officers from departments of Agriculture, Forestry, Horticulture, Floriculture, Animal Husbandry, and Sheep Husbandry.
