Legislative Assembly on Friday witnessed ruckus over “power crisis” in Kashmir Valley.   The opposition started protests soon after Dy Chief Minister and PDD minister Nirmal Singh accused the opposition parties of playing politics over it.According to the GNS correspondent, the members of the opposition National Conference including Aga Syed Rahulla, Ali Mohammad Sagar, Adbul Majeed Larmi and Altaf Kaloo shouted slogans against PDP- BJP government for completely failing to provide the electricity which they insisted that it was a basic necessity and its importance increases manifold in harsh winter. The legislators said while entire Kashmir Division was reeling under darkness, Government’s tall claim proved hoax and demanded statement from the government over the issue.Dy CM stood up and said that the government is providing electricity to the people of Kashmir region beyond the capacity. While rejecting there were ‘power crises’ in the Valley, DY CM said that the PDD department was providing the electricity to the region as per schedule."As compared to previous year, 50 megawatt extra is being given to the Kashmir", he said, adding opposition members are doing politics over it.Unsatisfied with the reply, the opposition members staged walk out amid slogans ‘PDP-BJP sarkar mai andhera hi andehra hai.’ (GNS)
