Making it clear that the saffron party is supreme, the former union minister, Harmohan Dhawan pledged his full support to the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) today. The BJP’s MP candidate for LS Elections-2014, Kirron Kher, State President, Sanjay Tandon and former MP Satya Pal Jain, had met Dhawan at his residence. Speaking about this development, Kirron Kher said, “The BJP is like a family and its members are working for a common cause. Dhawan has a big heart and he gave me his blessings. The wave of the BJP’s prime ministerial candidate Narendra Modi can be felt everywhere in the nation. We will ensure the victory from the Chandigarh Parliamentary seat to support Modi to become the Prime Minister of India”.
Supporting Kirron Kher’s views, Harmohan Dhawan said, “There were speculations over my support to the party in the last few days which should come to rest now. We will work together to ensure that Narendra Modi becomes the prime minister of India. The party workers will put united efforts to uproot the Congress rule of scam tainted Pawan Kumar Bansal from Chandigarh.Sanjay Tandon had brought me in the party and I had promised to work whole heartedly for the ideologies of BJP”. Stating his point of view about the union, Sanjay Tandon said, “The future belongs to BJP and we will move ahead jointly. We met with Dhawan and discussed on accelerating the poll campaign. The anti-incumbency factor will derail the congress rule in Chandigarh this time. There is resentment among people against Pawan Kumar Bansal and they are looking forward to corruption free system.
The BJP has a MP candidate, Kirron Kher who has absolutely clean image. I am sure people will vote for BJP which cherishes a dream to develop the city beautiful”.Later on ‘Maha Panchyat’ was held in the village Khudda Ali Sher where Sarpanches from 24 villages, residents and supporters of BJP were present. All of them unanimously pledged their support to the MP candidate, Kirron Kher and make BJP win. Giving their regards, supporters gave ‘Pagdi’ to Dhawan which he put it on the head of Kirron Kher.The vice-president Rambir Bhatti, President of District No 5, Bhajan Singh Madu, Kisan Morcha, President, Jujhar Singh, G D Kala, and other senior party workers including district Presidents were present on the occasion.
