District Development Commissioner, Bhawani Rakwal, today reviewed the progress on construction of roads under Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojana (PMGSY) and various issues related to interdepartmental coordination.Chief Engineer PMGSY Satpaul Manhas, Chief Planning Officer Youginder Katoch, executive engineers, assistant executive engineers and JEs PMGSY and officer besides contractors of PMGSY attended the meeting.The DDC expressed concern over delay in project completion. Executive Engineers PMGSY were given strict timelines to complte the projects by or before end of 2018.DDC issued directions for completion of the roads within the stipulated time in order to avoid both cost and time escalation.DDC emphasized for maintaining the quality of works by proper monitoring to ensure execution of quality works.Highlighting the need to get the construction works completed as per time schedule, the DDC further directed the concerned authorities for blacklisting such contractors who willfully delay the completion of works.
