Minister for Rural Development and Panchayati Raj, Abdul Haq Khan today informed the Legislative Assembly that Government has issued an order authorizing the legislators to utilize an amount of Rs 20 lakh out of their Constituency Development Funds (CDF) for clearing the past liability of BPL houses on IAY pattern during the current financial year.He said by virtue of the Government Order, if there is no liability on account of IAY exists, the legislators can channelize the CDF funds with the maximum ceiling of Rs. 20 lakh from the financial year 2017-18 as per the latest rules and laid down guidelines of the scheme.The Minister was replying to a Question by Mian Altaf in the House.Ch. Mohammad Akram, Hakeem Mohammad Yasin, Yawar Dillawar Mir and G M Saroori raised their supplementary questions on the issue.
