District Development Commissioner Dr. Shahid Iqbal today convened a public meeting at Saaj village of the district to take stock of public issues besides assessing the status of ongoing development works in the area.A team of officers including ACD Noor Aalam, Executive Engineers Zubair Choudhary, Sadeeq Wani and Nisar Khan, DSWO Dr. Abdul Khabir, Deputy Registrar Cooperatives, Waqar Talib, Tehsildar Thana Mandi, Shahid Iqbal, BDO Plangarh Anwar Choudhary and other officers accompanied the DDC.The locals apprised the DDC of various development issues being faced by them in day-to-day life seeking an early redressal to the same.The issues raised by the locals included road connectivity to all the hamlets, completion of Danna-Saaj road, connecting Neerojal and Saaj villages with main road, provision of drinking water as there is no water supply scheme approved for the area, establishment of PHC, holding of PSGA camps, demarcation of land of High School and construction of its compound wall, installation of ATM at Saaj and shifting of Niabat to Neerojal besides other issues concerning development of the area.The DDC directed the Tehsildar to identify land preferably state land for PHC in the area besides askiong the concerned for demarcation of high school Saaj land and construction of compound wall to protect the property of school. He also asked for conducting Public Service Delivery Camps at Saaj to provide revenue certificates/documents and certificate by health department at the door steps of the public.Later, Dr. Shahid Iqbal visited various sites and inspected ongoing development works and instructed the concerned officers for timely and quality completion.
