Minister for Forests, Environment and Ecology, Choudhary Lal Singh exhorted upon the Forest Guards undergoing training at Forest Guard Training School, Doomi in Akhnoor to discharge their duties with utmost honesty and dedication.The Minister was speaking at the passing out parade of Forest Guards trainees here today.Principal Chief Conservator of Forests Ravi Kesar, Chairman SPCB B Sidhartha, Chief Wildlife Warden Manoj Panth, Additional PCCF  Central P K Singh, Director Soil Water and Conservation Javed Iqbal Punju, Chief Conservator of Forests Farooq Gillani, Director Social Forestry Ashwani Kumar Gupta, Managing Director SFC Suresh Gupta, Director SFRI B M Sharma, Regional Director Social Forestry Roop Kour Avtar, Conservator Working Plan Naveen Shah, Principal Forest Guard Training School Zahid Mughal besides other senior officers of Forest and allied wings were present on the occasion.The Minister congratulated the pass outs of 50th and 51st batch of Jammu region who completed their training of six months and hoped that they will optimally utilize the knowledge and skill gained during their training and will perform with added efficiency. He asked them to imbibe professional ethics which will serve as a guide for them to perform their duties efficiently and effectively. He asked the trainees to uphold the sanctity of their profession and work as a team.

The Minister stressed upon the trainees to contribute their best in further streamlining the working of forest organization. He said that forest schools and institutions are the backbone of forest department and government is keen to upgrade existing infrastructure in these institutes.The Minister directed the school authorities to maintain strict discipline in the school and make physical training a regular feature to further enhance the physical endurance of the trainees which will help them in performing their duties effectively. He also directed them to provide healthy diet to the trainees during their stay in the school.Choudhary Lal Singh today said forest guards are the saviors of green gold, adding that, the refined workforce on ground would help in giving better services to the State. You should have a will to serve the State and nation in a better and professional way,” he added.He further said the ground force, if trained and taught well, would give better results for the holistic development of the State. He also praised the efforts of Forest Training Schools in imparting quality training to the forest officials in the State.Earlier, the Minister inaugurated R P Singh Rosary at Forest Guard Training School, Doomi and also planted saplings in the school premises like golden cupressous, fruit, palm, silver oak, alstonia trees.

Later, the Minister distributed certificates and mementos among the passed-out trainees.In 50th batch among the Forest Guards Devinder Kumar of Bhaderwah Forest division stood Ist, Anil Kumar Sharma of Billawar Forest division and Adil Abbas Butt of Kishtwar Forest division stood 2nd and 3rd respectively.In 51st batch among the Forest Guards Bhadur Singh of Ramban Forest division stood Ist, Mubashar Rashid Khateeb of Kishtwar Forest division and Shahbaz Ahmed of Basholi Forest division stood 2nd and 3rd respectively.
