The people gathered in thousands crowding alongside the roads right from Ghagas  to Mandi to wave hand or have a glimpse of Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur, who for the first time after assuming the charge of Chief Ministers office visited his home district today. It  almost took more than seven hours to reach Mandi from Bilaspur with welcome gates erected  after each kilometre as the Chief Minister accepted the honour being given by the people with grace and expressed his gratitude.The Chief Minister was given warm welcome by one and all enroute Mandi at several places including Dhanotu, Kanaid, Dadour, Nerchowk, Gutkar, Jarol, etc.IPH Minister Shri Mahinder Singh Thakur,  MPP and Power Minister Shri Anil Sharma, MLAs Shri  Inder Singh Gandhi, Shri Rakesh Jamwal,  Shri Jawahar Thakur, Shri Vinod Kumar were also present on the occasion amongst others.
