Minister of state for Transport, Public works R&B, Revenue, RDD and Panchayti Raj, Agriculture Production and Youth Services and Sports, Sunil Kumar Sharma today visited the Galigarh area of District Kishtwar and laid Foundation of precious road project there. The two kilometres stretch to be constructed with an estimated cost of Rs 3 crore connecting Galigarh and Kunja Village.Speaking on the occasion after laying foundation of the road, the Minister said that it was the long pending demand of the people of the area which was fulfilled. He said the Government is committed for road net work connectivity of the State adding that sufficient funds have been earmarked for the purpose. He said efforts are a foot to develop all the major and minor road links of Kistward district. He said that the directions have already been given to the concerned for formulating of Detailed Project Reports in this regard.Sharma said that with the Mega Boom in Road sector there will be a complete change in the whole scenario of the Kishtwar Constituency and adding that Hydel Projects are being built in the area which he said will further generate employment for the educated unemployed youth of the area.Deputy Commissioner Kishtwar, Angrez Singh Rana, SSP Kishtwar Abrar Choudhary and other Officers of various departments accompanied the Minister during his tour.
