A thirty days long skill training program for unemployed women of the remote area of village Arai concluded today in mega function organized by J&K bank's RSETI (Rural self employment training institute) at village Arai of Mandi Tehsil today.Besides local trainees large number of other locals also present in concluding day of program.In 30 days training programme 40 women belonging to remote village Arai were participated in skill training program including cutting & tailoring trade.Deputy commissioner Poonch sh.Tariq Ahmed Zargar was the chief guest on the occasion .While speaking, DDC urged the women participants to come forward in large numbers and take benefits from number of initiatives being launched by the government for generation of employment opportunities which have ample scope of their welfare.He said that women should actively participate in activities promoting local economy like by forming various self help group SHGs and creating livelihood avenues for others too.
On the occasion, Mr. Tariq Ahmad Zargar distributed trade certificates among participants trainees who successfully completed the one month training programme.Earlier Director RSETI Sh. Sukhbir singh gave brief account of regarding objectives behind organizing such training programme. He said that the mission of institute was to train the youth and create a culture of self-employment by conducting such training programme on regular basis.Other present on the occassion were J&K bank LDM; Naib Tehsildar Mandi; JE R&B; and local media persons.Later ,DC also made surprise check in various government offices located in tehsil complex mandi to inspect the attendance of employees.During his visit the locals in shape of delegations met him and apprised him on various issues they are confronting with i.e; corrections of names in ration cards,inclusion of deserving person in BPL category .DC assured them that all these genuine issues will be looked into and will be resolved in time bound manner.
