MLC Bhat reviews developmental works in Khansaheb

Member of Legislative Council (MLC), Saifuddin Bhat today convened a meeting of officers to review the pace of ongoing developmental works in Khansaheb constituency of Budgam district.The meeting was held at Revenue Complex in Khansaheb, where Bhat took the department wise review of works being carried out under different state and central schemes.In wake of the ongoing winter season, Bhat during the meeting directed the officers of R&B department to carry out the metal work on the newly constructed roads in areas including Mujhpathri, Suthharan and Watirpora areas on war footing basis.  He also directed concerned to get the clearance from the forest department to start work on the Rs 3.5 crore Mujhpathri-Doodhpathri road project.Meanwhile, officers informed MLC the macadamization of already tendered roads would resume across the constituency by ending April. MLC also took the review of works promised during the recent Chief Minister’s durbar and stressed on the early completion of all works.While taking stock of the health sector, he directed the concerned to throw open the newly constructed twin building at Zanigam and Gurwath as health centres, to cater health services to the public. He also assured that two X-Ray plants would be established at Ompora in Budgam and Hardipunzu in Khansaheb health centres soon.

On the occasion, MLC also announced sanction of an ambulance for the public health centre Churmujro.e also directed concerned to ensure timely sanction of marriage and widow assistance to the people under different social welfare schemes and also stressed on the hassle-free supply of timber for the construction purposes.On the occasion, officials informed MLC that Agricultural department has established organic vegetable cluster at Arigam and Bugroo villages, where different varieties of vegetables would be grown as fertilizer and pesticides free. Officials also informed him that department was providing different hybrid seed varieties to the farmers on subsidiary bases.For the better yield, he stressed on the horticultural department to conduct awareness camps about proper spraying for the farmers.MLC Bhat also directed concerned to ensure scheduled power supply in the Khansaheb constituency and early repairing of the damaged transformers.   He stressed on PHE to ensure sufficient water supply to the people.MLC also took the stock of the proposed Sukhnag 2nd water supply schemes under which 143villages of Budgam, Beerwah and Khansaheb would be covered.Stressing on giving the flip to the tourism, MLC directed concerned to submit the report on the facilities to be put at the Doodpathri to throw it open during winters for the snow-related sports activities.Meanwhile, soon after the meeting, MLC also held a public darbar and assured public to address their genuine issues on priority bases.
