The Congress party has achieved a remarkable win in 3 Municipal Corporations of the state, the elections to which were held today.An official spokesperson of state election commission revealed that congress clinched 64 seats out of 85 wards of Amritsar whereas SAD won 7, BJP 6, and 8 seats were won by independent candidates. He added that in Patiala congress won 59 out of 60 wards. However, re-poll was ordered at booth No. 3 of ward No. 37.He further divulged that in Jalandhar, Congress won 66 wards out of 80. At the same time SAD won 4, BJP 8 seats and 2 seats were won by the independent candidates.
