Minister of State for Transport (Independent charge), Revenue, Public Works (Roads & Buildings), Rural Development & Panchayati Raj, Agriculture Production, YSS, Sunil Sharma today exhorted upon the officers to ensure effective implementation of welfare and development schemes to facilitate the people lead a comfortable and dignified life.The government is working under a well knit strategy to bring a planned and holistic development in the state with emphasis on unattended and unreachable parts”, the Minister maintained.The Minister, while speaking at a public grievances redressal camp at Panasa Thakrakote , said that concerted efforts are being made to provide better road connectivity, clean drinking water, uninterrupted power supply and improved educational and health care system to the people. He said the initiatives of direct benefit transfer, digital India, GST, geo tagging are some of the major steps towards ensuring transparency and accountability in the system at all levels.The Minister said that both Central and state Governments are keen to work for the development of poor and marginalised sections of the society through new programmes and policies envisaging their socio-economic emancipation.ADDC Ramesh Chander, ACR Harbans Lal, ACD M.Y. Malik, Tehsildar Chand Singh, ARTO Shami Sharma, Chief Agriculture Officer, Chief Horticulture Officer, Executive Engineers and other officers of district administration were present on the ocassion.

Divulging on implementation of PMAY, the Minister said that uncovered BPL families would be surveyed for providing them benefits.The Minister also announced JKRTC bus service from Jammu to Panasa saying that efforts would be made to start buses on other routes to facilitate the commuters of the area. He also announced playground at Panasa worth Rs.10 lakh on which the work will be taken up under convergence mode besides announcing Rs.20 lakh for construction of Dak bunglow at Panasa.The Minister asked the concerned for preparing DPRs for Dharan road.During the camp, the locals raised several issues which inter alia include staff shortage in schools and hospitals, upgradation of Rud bridge to Panasa road, construction of road to Thakrakote and Gundali, proper functioning of Anganwadi centers, release of MGNREGA payments, development of Gundali devsthan, updation  of revenue records, proper survey of BPL families, grid station,  proper survey under PMAY, new Sai Lanjan-Dharan road etc.Sunil Sharma assured the public of early redressal of their issues and directed the officers to take speedy action on the same. He also addressed many of the grievances put forth by the public on the spot while directing the officers for redressal of remaining issues at the earliest.Meanwhile, the locals also demanded opening of tehsil office at Panasa presently camping at Reasi and proper alignment of Dhakikote road sanctioned under CRF for remotest areas.Senior political leaders including Kuldeep Raj Dubey, Sardar Pardeep Singh, Raman Kumar, Joginder Singh were also present on the occasion.
