Minister of State for health Asiea Naqash today conducted a surprise visit to hospitals in Sopore and Kupwara hospitals to review the facilities being provided to patients there. Speaking with the hospital administration, the Minister directed for working with zeal and dedication to deliver quality healthcare and provide the best facilities to the patients.The Minister also interacted with the patients to inquire about the facilities being provided to them.During the visit, the Minister also inspected the ongoing works of the additional 200-bedded hospital building at sub-district hospital Sopore. The hospital is being constructed at an estimated cost of 38 crore. The Minister also visited the under construction blocks of 100-bed capacity district hospital Kupwara.She impressed upon the executing agencies to accelerate the pace of ongoing works on the hospitals so that better medicare is provide to people .Later locals apprised the Minister with their various grievances. The Minister assured them that all their genuine problems would be addressed at an earliest.
