New Delhi , 15 Dec 2017

Outraged by the nasty proxy order imposing restrictions on the Amarnath Ji Yatra rituals in Kashmir which had hurt the religious sentiments of Hindu community world wide , a battalion of Panther activists spearheaded by Harsh Dev Singh Chairman JKNPP and Mr. Yash Paul Kundal State president Young Panthers along with several leaders staged an aggressive protest demonstration near the Parliament in New Delhi today. A contingent of Delhi Police raised huge barricades near NDMC chowk on Sansad Marg and restrained the infuriated protestors raising anti-BJP slogans from marching towards the parliament.Accusing the BJP of indulging in the politics of appeasement to keep the separatists of Kashmir in good humour, Mr. Harsh Dev Singh lambasted the Saffron brigade for having connived with the latter in establishing the sectarian homogeneity on communal and fascist lines. He said that the BJP govt. had issued a nasty order through the NGT which had imposed restrictions on the Amarnath Ji yatra rituals under the pretext of safeguarding the ecology of the valley. He wondered that how all of a sudden such order was issued when the Yatra had been organized with religious fervor since ages with no adverse impact on the environment over there.

Mr. Singh divulged that the BJP which always claimed to be ‘Messiah’ of Hindus had now changed its colour like a chameleon only to enjoy the thrones of power in the State of J&K. He said that the BJP had lost its ‘Saffron sheen’ by interfering in the religious rituals of the Hindus which was not only obnoxious but also violated the fundamental right of freedom of religion enshrined in the Constitution of India. “The change of nomenclature of Hindu shrines and places in Kashmir, interference in the rituals of Amarnath Yatra, detention of the nationalists and premiums for the militants in J&K, etc had corroborated the bitter truth that BJP had not only marginalized Jammu region but was also hell bent to subjugate Hindus in the State for the petty political interests. The Saffron party had shamefully surrendered all the election time promises besides its core philosophy of ‘Hindutva’ before Kashmiri leaders to keep their unholy alliance with its ally PDP intact†, angry Harsh said.Launching a scathing attack on the coalition govt. and BJP in particular for maintaining criminal silence over the issue, Mr. Harsh Dev Singh recalled another similar acquiesce of Saffron party only to keep its opportunist alliance with PDP alive.

Referring to a reply obtained by him under RTI , he revealed that the Govt. of India had sanctioned 8 new Highways last year to the State of J&K with the assurance of 100% funding for all the projects. He said that out of these projects Highway No. 501 was announced by the GoI along the holy cave of Amarnath Ji shrine measuring 105 Kms. in length linking Baltal-Panchtarni-Chandanwari-Pahalgam-Batakut-Martand-Khanabal in Kashmir. He disclosed in dismay that the incumbent BJP-PDP govt. had out rightly refused the construction of the said road by citing environmental reasons and further declined to convey NOC to MoRTH to declare it as National Highway. He divulged that during the Mass agitation in 2008 in the back drop of the State govt. repealing the transfer of 100 Acres land to Shri Amarnath Ji Shrine Board (SASB) to set up temporary shelters for Hindu pilgrims in Kashmir, the BJP vehemently rabble-roused to take the political mileage from the mass movement led by Amarnath Yatra Sangarsh Samiti and won 11 Assembly seats from Jammu Pradesh at the cost of several lives and thousands who were injured.

He said that entire Jammu region witnessed complete shut down for over three months and lakhs of people including children, women and old courted arrest to showcase their exemplary ‘Shaivik’ faith and belief. “The Saffron party had committed a sin by selling the aspirations and faith of the people and even its decimation would not heal the wounds of the masses who voted them to power with 25 representatives†, Harsh maintained. He said that Panthers party shall continue to challenge the proxy order and also cautioned the BJP to clear its stand over the issue other wise get ready to face the worst public wrath of all times.Mr. Yashpal Kundal warned the BJP-PDP alliance of a mammoth agitation more truculent and aggressive than the Amarnath Ji land row in case it continued to placate the secessionists and Pak/ISIS sponsored militants in the valley.Prominent among those who were present on the occasion included Rajesh Padgotra, Romesh Khajuria, Gagan Pratap Singh, Shankar Singh Chib, Parshotam Parihar, Surjit Singh, Mohinder Singh, Vishav Singh, Bajinderpal Singh, Rohit Sharma, Bashir uddin, Shakti Singh, Naseeb Singh, Rajiv Khosla, Surjit Singh, Jagmohan Paswan, AJ Rajan, Manjeet Singh, Pawan Kumar, Arun Khajuria besides others.
