Eight persons died and 19 were injured in two separate road accidents since Wednesday night in different parts of Madhya Pradesh, police said on Thursday.According to the police, the condition of three of the injured is critical.In the first incident in Baitul district of the state, seven persons died late on Wednesday night when they rushed to the rescue of the victims of a collision between two motorcycles, Bordehi Police Station Incharge R.K. Suryavanshi said.Even as they were busy helping the victims, a dumper passing by took the edge of the road, turned turtle and fell on them, he said.The two injured in the freak accident were sent to hospital and JCB machines had to be used to retrieve the bodies from under the dumper.In the second incident that took place on Thursday morning, a Pipariya-bound private bus coming from state capital Bhopal had a head-on collision with a vehicle coming from the opposite direction as the speeding bus tried to overtake another.One passenger died and 17 others were injured in the accident.According to Mandideep Police Station Incharge D.S. Onkar, there were 35 passengers in the bus. Nearly 17 of them have received injuries, while the condition of three is serious.
