The Sports Committee of PHD Chamber Kashmir Monday inaugurated the first trial match among the state Ranji trophy probables. The match was played at JKCA Stadium Sonwar to select the state team of 14-players for upcoming PHD Chamber CM-11 tournament at national level. The tournament will be played between northern states of India and matches will be on IPL format."The upcoming tournament under the aegis of PHD Chamber will be a great promotion of Cricket and celebration of our shared passion for the beautiful game," there will be trials for selection of women cricket team of Kashmir added the sports committee chairman of PHD Chamber Kashmir Tariq Rashid Ghani. Speaking on the occasion, The Chief Guest Hon’ble Education Minister Syed Altaf Ahmed Bukhari said that we are delighted to see the encouraging initiative of PHD Chamber for the youth of Kashmir and our best wishes and full support would be with the selected players of state team for CM-11. Bukhari said that our state of Jammu & Kashmir is having pool of talent and with these initiatives the talented youths are getting an opportunity to prove their mettle.Commenting on the Occasion, Mr. Baldev Singh Raina Co-Chairman PHD Kashmir said "We are glad to be associated with PHD Chamber on this initiative that focuses on grass-root level engagement and gives state players a chance to explore opportunities in the world of Cricket.
