Minister of State for Transport and R&B, Sunil Kumar Sharma on Tuesday laid the foundation stone of two-kilometre long Padyarna Pullar Link Road Phase- 1The road is being constructed at an estimated cost of Rs 2.76 crore funded under NABARD's Scheme Phase-2 while 10 kilometres of the same road is funded under CRF at an estimated cost of Rs 15 crore.On the occasion Minister said an amount of Rs 26 crore will be spent on theprestigious project including a bridge being constructed by CVPP at an estimated cost of Rs 7.5 crore.Speaking on the occasion, MoS Sharma said Kishtwar has a tough terrain all around and most of the habitats are without Road connectivity till date. He said since the change of government, a miraculous change is being witnessed where precious road projects are being sanctioned to facilitate the commuters forever.He said with the road project was a dream project as the residents of the area were waiting from past 70 years to get this road constructed as the residents were living in miserable condition and risking their lives while travelling through a life consuming dreadful hilly path or a Cradle Box daily.On the foundation laying ceremony people of the area thronged to welcome the minister and expressed their delight for the start of the road project.
