Speaker J&K Legislative Assembly, Kavinder Gupta today convened public meetings at Gadi-Garh and Channi Rama and took stock of problems being faced by people of these areas.Residents of the area apprised the Speaker about their developmental needs including upgradation of the roads, proper drainage system and adequate power supply in the area, among others.Giving a patient hearing to the projected demands, the Speaker assured the people that concerted efforts will be made to provide better amenities and mitigate their problems in a time bound manner.
Kavinder Gupta while interacting with the locals apprised them in detail of various initiatives that have been taken up in these localities with regards to reinforcing power supply, road network, drainage systems, etc. He further said that remaining areas are also being systematically covered.He sought active public cooperation for effective implementation of Swachh Bharat Abhiyan and other developmental schemes so that maximum people benefited.Earlier, Kavinder Gupta also inaugurated lane and drain work in Gadi Garh, which was a long pending demand of the residents there.
