Divisional Commissioner Jammu, Dr Mandeep K Bhandari convened a meeting with officers and representatives of Raghunath Bazar Business Association to review the traffic scenario in Raghunath Bazaar and its adjoining areas and discuss the measures to streamline traffic movement.Deputy Commissioner Jammu Kumar Rajeev Ranjan, Vice Chairman, JDA Rajesh Kumar Shavan, Commissioner JMC RomeshKumar, SSP Jammu Vivek Gupta, SSP Traffic Nisha Nathyal, SSP Pawan Parihar, Joint Commissioner JMC Rajesh Sharma, XEN PWD U. K. Sharma, Joint Director Tourism Shokat Mahmood, besides other concerned officers were present in the meeting.Raghunath Bazar Business Association led by President Surinder Mahajan presented a charter of demands to the Divisional Commissioner Jammu which include no parking zone area at Raghunath Bazar, City Chowk to Shalamar and City Chowk to JDA Market.

They further demanded installation of LED Lights and CCTV Cameras at Raghunath Bazar besides other demands.Divisional Commissioner while responding to the projected   demands assured all possible support in making Raghunath Bazar, City Chowk and adjoining areas decongested. He directed the Commissioner JMC to take immediate steps to ensure smooth plying of traffic in the bazar.Bhandari directed the Traffic department to strictly implement traffic regulation in Raghunath Bazar so that the shopkeepers as well as shoppers are saved from unnecessary inconvenience due to traffic congestion.Divisional Commissioner stressed on better synergy between the concerned agencies to ensure better traffic movement in Raghunath Bazar and adjoining areas.
