Parimpora area of Kashmir capital Srinagar city observed a complete shutdown for the consecutive 3rd day on Monday to mourn the killing of native militant Mugees Ahmed Mir.Mir was killed in a brief shootout in Zakura area in the outskirts of Srinagar city with government forces. A Police Sub-Inspector Muhammad Imran Tak was also killed in the shootout.Reports said that all shops and business establishments remained shut while a large number of people continued to flock at the residence of the slain militant to express their solidarity with the bereaved family.Meanwhile, Hajin town of North Kashmir’s Bandipora district also observed shutdown against the killing of six Lashkar-e-Taiba militants.Six militants and an Indian Air Force Commando were killed in a fierce gun battle at Chandergeer area of Hajin Town on Saturday evening.Reports said that Hajin and its adjoining areas including Chandergeer, Shahgund, Hakhbara, Soudnara, Markundal, Vijpara and other areas.‘All shops and business establishment remained shut while transport is also off the roads,” said an eyewitness (CNS)
