Police on Wednesday claimed to have arrested two militants from the operation site in Kund Nowbug village of south Kashmir's Kulgam district.A senior police officer told news agency GNS that they have arrested two local militants during the operation at Kund village since last night."One local militant Shams Ul Waqar s/o Mohammad Amin Teli r/o Ganjipora, Kulgam held by the joint team of army, SOG and CRPF last night while as another militant Ata Mohammad Malik s/o Bashir Ah Malik r/o DH Pora was arrested today in an injured conditions when the joint team of forces resumed the combing operation against the hiding militants", the officer said.Sources said that the injured militant Ata Mohammad received two bullet wounds in his legs and is being treated upon in a Srinagar hospital.Meanwhile, the officer said that the operation in the area is still going on and the joint team have also launched searches in the adjoining Waltengo Nar village to trace out the another fleeing militant.Pertinently, a local militant and a soldier were killed in yesterday’s gunfight in Kund Nowbug village.
