One militant, soldier killed in ongoing Kulgam gunfight

A militant and a trooper have been killed in an ongoing gunfight in Qazigund area of Kulgam district in south Kashmir on Tuesday.As already reported by news agency GNS, acting on specific information SOG Kulgam and 9RR of Army cordoned off Nowbug Kund, Qazigund, a police officer had said.While searches were intensified towards suspected spot the hiding militants fired upon the forces triggering off an encounter. In the intense exchange of gunfire since morning, a militant and a soldier have been killed.Two government forces men including an army man and SOG man sustained injuries. When reports last came in, the firing was going on. The identity of the slain militant is yet to be ascertained by forces.(GNS)
