District Development Commissioner Dr. Shahid Iqbal Choudhary today chaired a meeting of Rent Assessment Committee (RAC) and approved 30 cases of rent assessment pertaining to various departments.During the meeting, the DDC who is also chairman of Rent Assessment Committee held a detailed discussion with officers of different departments which are functioning from rented accommodations in the district and with the owners of these buildings.A total of 30 cases including five cases pertaining to Social Welfare, six to FCS & CA, three cases each to Revenue, Health and Handicraft Departments, two to Police, one case each to Legal Metrology, Agriculture, RDA, Intelligence Bureau, Sub-Transmission Kalakote, Handloom and Information Departments were put up in the meeting for discussion and approval.After a detailed deliberation, the Committee approved all the 30 cases and directed the concerned to expedite the payment of rents as per the rates approved in the meeting.It was also decided in the meeting that a government accommodation will be provided for the office of Child Development Programme Officer, Rajouri.
Moreover in cases where the departments have already vacated the accommodations, it was decided that the concerned will pay clear the outstanding dues and get a No Demand Certificate from the owner.Taking a serious note of cases wherein the offices are still functioning from rented accommodation in spite of the fact that government accommodations are made available, Dr. Shahid directed the concerned to immediately take over government buildings and immediately shift office in them.Present in the meeting were ADDC A.S. Chib, SSP Yougal Manhas, AC Revenue Abdul Qayoom Mir, CEO RDA Dr. Tahir Firdous, SDM Thana Mandi Afzal Mirza, X. En. PWD Mohd Sadeeq Wani, DSWO Dr. Abdul Khabir, AD FCS & CA Javid Iqbal, Tehsildar Mohd Raiyaz, DIO Mohammad Shafait, CDPO Auquil Nuvaid, CEO Lal Hussain besides other concerned officers and the owners of the buildings.
