As many as 40 persons joined the local unit of Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in a meeting held at party office Kamlam, Sector 33 today. The meeting was organized under the leadership of the President, Mandal No 11 of District No 2, Yograj. The meeting marked the presence of BJP’s State President, Sanjay Tandon, Vice-President, Raghuvir Lal Arora, General Secretary, Prem Kaushik, District President, Ravi Kant Sharma, Morcha Co-ordinator, Mataram Dhiman and Ateet Kakkar, Arvind Rana, Nafe Singh, Surinder Mishra, Naresh Sanauria.
Welcoming the incorporation of new people in the party, Sanjay Tandon said, “The Lok Sabha Elections-2014 will not be a competition between the BJP and Congress, but between 15 years of congress misrule and the common man who are bearing the brunt of inflation, unemployment, poor growth and rampant corruption. The sitting MP of Congress in Chandigarh, Pawan Kumar Bansal has failed to do any remarkable development in the city because he remained busy in corruptions cases. Now the local residents should come forward to get rid of Congress and support BJP which has a strategic vision to develop the city”.
Speaking on the occasion, Ravi Kant Sharma said, “The whole nation is witnessing the wave of BJP’s prime ministerial candidate Narendra Modi. The large numbers of city residents are coming forward to support Modi and they want to see him as the PM of the nation. Our party workers too have pledged to ensure victory of BJP from Chandigarh Lok Sabha seat”.
