“I feel honoured to be part of the Chandigarh Blind Walk and amazed to see the enthusiasm and energetic spirit of the blind people.” Disclosing this here today at Sector-17 on the occasion of participating in the ‘Chandigarh Blind Walk’ event organized by the ‘Dialogue Highway’ organization, the Local Government, Tourism and Cultural Affairs Minister, Punjab, Mr. Navjot Singh Sidhu said that the differently abled people only need encouragement and constant support from the society and then can scale any heights because then the sky would be the limit for them.The minister on the occasion announced Rs. 5 lakh per year for next five years from his government funds for the ‘Dialogue Highway’ and apart from this, he also announced the same amount every year from his discretionary quota for the organization.Among other notable people who participated in the walk included Patron of Dialogue Higheay Davinder Sharma, PGI Director Dr Jagat Ram, Veteran Journalist Mr Swadesh Talwar, Punjabi folk singer Pammi Bai, Doli Guleria, Film actress Japji Khaira, Film artist and Line producer Darshan Aulakh and Senior journalist and organiser Baljit Bali.
